The role:
We are Solus, a network of Accident Repair Centres wholly owned by our parent company, Aviva. Currently we are seeking a Data Protection Analyst to to deliver core privacy services to Solus, encompassing both operational and advisory aspects. You will assist with Data Subject Access Rights and other subject rights to ensure we remain compliant with GDPR. You’ll work closely with our other stakeholders across IT, Commercial, HR and Business Change team to develop and implement data privacy solutions that align with our strategic objectives and we present a new and exciting opportunity for a progressive and driven individual to be a part of an award-winning organisation with a desire to make a difference.
Providing support to the Data Protection Officer with the completion, delivery and overall management of Data Privacy Impact Assessments
Supporting in reviewing contracts and data processing agreements
Assisting with annual and ad-hoc audits such as the annual IT audit
Be responsible for the ongoing management of the Record of Processing Activities log
Supporting the business with carrying out third party information security assurance (TPISA)
Assisting with data breach investigations support the investigation process by obtaining evidence, and preparation of reports on any findings / recommendations
Maintaining documentation, communications and records (DPIAs, DSARs, TIAs, LIAs and data breach log
Drafting and preparing internal communication for publication alongside the DPO to guide and empower colleagues with best practice
Supporting in ensuring data protection by design and default is taken into consideration throughout project lifecycles by liaising with IT and Business Change
Playing a critical role in the identification, monitoring and mitigation of data protection risks across the business
Assisting in preparing and delivering data protection training where required
Provide advice on GDPR and DPA 2018 to all functions and employees
Understanding procedures and processes and operate them to the required standard encouraging best practice
Monitoring any data protection legislative updates which may impact Solus
Qualifications Desirable qualifications, skills, and experience
Degree or equivalent work experience in a DP/compliance
A professional qualification, such as CIPPE, CIPM, ISEB or CIPT
Working knowledge of ISO 27001 / ISO 27701
IT skills at intermediate level with experience working in Word/Excel/Outlook
Experience in a similar role within the Automotive Industry, Insurance or Finance
Understanding of up-to-date information security threats
Demonstrable level of business acumen and stakeholder management
Commitment to continuous improvement
UK/EU Driving Licence as the position does require occasional travel across our national UK network
