The Future of Privacy Forum (FPF) is a global non-profit organization that serves as a catalyst for privacy leadership and scholarship, advancing principled data practices in support of emerging technologies. FPF is an organization at the forefront of global thought leadership in the privacy and data protection space, understanding and explaining legislative trends, regulatory action and best practices related to processing personal data and emerging technologies, across key jurisdictions. Coordinated from its Headquarters in Washington DC, FPF has offices in Brussels, Tel Aviv, and Singapore, as well as a network of experts and partners in Kenya, India, and Brazil, with a long term view of expanding our global presence. To develop its global perspective and contribute to the comprehensive understanding of privacy and data protection trends across the world, FPF is engaging with a vast array of stakeholders, including international organizations, researchers, regulators, privacy practitioners (in house and outside counsel, privacy engineers, technologists), advocates, and policymakers.
General Overview
This position will provide executive and logistical support for the Vice President of Global Privacy, as well as project management support for the team’s policy staff. The ideal candidate will be a superior writer; be able to communicate with a variety of audiences both formally and informally; and have a willingness to support a team with members located around the world. The Executive Assistant will interact regularly with leading senior figures in government, corporations, academia, advocacy groups, and law firms.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide executive support to the Vice President, including but not limited to managing correspondence, managing calendars, and providing general administrative support (40%);
Provide administrative support for the team including scheduling, running virtual meetings, taking notes, managing contacts, and assisting with outreach (15%);
Provide project management support for the team, including tracking the progression of projects in our project management system and working with policy staff to determine project plans, timelines, and next steps (15%);
Organize and assist with the publication of written projects (i.e., blogs, reports, issue briefs), including line editing written materials (15%);
Serve as the team’s liaison with other FPF teams to ensure the team’s work is achieved in coordination with FPF’s communications, events, and grants staff (15%);
Execute other related or ad hoc tasks as needed.
Requirements: Three years of experience in executive support roles and/or project management;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Superior organizational and planning skills and a high level of attention to detail;
Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to fostering a positive environment;
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities efficiently and to completion;
Ability to work effectively across multiple teams within an organization;
Ability to work remotely across several time zones;
Some experience, even if minimal, working in multicultural environments.
Nice-to-Haves: Experience with Zoom, GSuite, Microsoft Office, Monday.com, and Salesforce;
Experience reviewing and line editing written materials;
Prior experience working or living outside of the US;
Interest in emerging trends in technology and implications for users and society.
