Head of Data Privacy Governa nce ?for a? 13 Month ?Contract based in London 1 day Per Week – the rest of the week you will be working from home .
Purpose of the Role: This is the perfect stepping stone for someone on their journey to be a Data Protection Officer (DPO) – a senior level, managerial opportunity at a FTSE 100 organisation. The role requires someone with strong motivational and leadership skills to drive change and be responsible for a multi-million pounds budget in a complex environment.
As the Head of Data Privacy Governance you will be responsible for:
Governance of the privacy policy and privacy compliance framework.
Governance of the GDPR program helping to manage both the team and programme budget (£2-£3 m governance budget).
Providing assurance and reporting to the Executive, Audit and Risk and ESG Boards and external stakeholder requirements such as the Dow Jones, and Sustainability Index reporting where privacy is a key part.
Risk reporting and reviewing of monthly KPI’s performance review for the General Counsel and Director or Privacy and DPO Monitoring metrics and tracking insights.
Oversight and direction for the enterprise wide privacy culture change program including mandatory training and team specific training on a risk based approach.
Having a critical eye on the insights and translating findings for the Executive board.
Identifying training opportunities to enhance the skill set for the wider data protection function and coaching and mentoring for high performance for your 3-4 direct reports.

Senior stakeholder management skills.
Senior Leadership and Line Management experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strategic focus on managing data protection compliance in a complex organisation
The ability to work in a fast pace, complex and dynamic business environment.
Risk assessment and report writing experience with budget management experience.
Confidence with excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
Several years of privacy experience from within a complex organisation.
Experience in breach incident reporting and regulatory engagement.
Excellent understanding of information governance. practices – incl. information life cycle management, controls and assurance, and information security.
In-depth knowledge and experience of Data Protection and UK GDPR with CIPPE / CIPM qualification.
