Sales Manager (Data Privacy) – Premier Global Law Firm

Leighton Taylor Consulting

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join a leading international law firm with a truly global presence. The Sales Manager will be part of a team providing support to a dynamic, growing, highly successful and innovative provider of on-line subscription-based legal risk management products, with a particular focus on Data Privacy.
In order to increase global revenues the firm is seeking a Sales Manager to target and sign new clients with a focus on direct lead generation and sales of their data privacy offering. Reporting to a Senior BD Manager, and with regular contact with the Executive Director responsible for Business Development, you will work closely with the wider Business Development team and also with product lawyers to understand and promote the key features of the firm’s Data Privacy product. Reporting on campaigns and identifying and measuring success against KPIs, the successful candidate will be required to deliver new sales to agreed targets and will be responsible for active lead generation by identifying new target sectors and clients, developing a successful strategy for their engagement, and effectively qualifying leads and new opportunities from potential clients. Developing the firm’s Salesforce platform and LinkedIn profile, leading client meetings and demonstrations and handling commercial negotiations with clients will all represent important facets of this challenging roll. The role holder will also represent the firm at industry conferences and events globally and support improvements to sales and marketing collateral.
With an entrepreneurial outlook and passion for continually improving processes and client delivery, the ideal candidate will have established sales experience gained in a professional services environment and will be able to demonstrate success in delivering sales results under their own initiative whilst working within a publishing, data or information based business selling to corporate clients. Pre-requisites for this role include an aptitude for quickly acquiring a rigorous understanding of the various technical areas covered by the firm’s products, an understanding of the legal requirements for marketing and a strong ability to generate new revenues via campaigns and prospecting. With a strong drive to gain results, improve and succeed, the Sales Manager will possess excellent organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability make a credible impact with clients and to apply creative thinking to generate both new ideas and innovative ways of using existing channels and resources.
