This will include engaging with business partners, disseminating information throughout business units, and presenting detailed reports to Compliance Executives, including the Compliance VP and Chief Compliance Officer. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:Advise the Enterprise on matters of Privacy Compliance, including current Privacy law and regulation and new and emerging trendsAdvise or assist the Enterprise on additional matters including but not limited to, fraud, identity theft, security, and money laundering (AML)Advise the Enterprise on related matters in every aspect of the business, including new and existing products, policies and procedures, and interactions with partners and customersAdvise the Enterprise on ongoing compliance with California privacy law (CCPA/CPRA) and related state laws, including collaboration with Technology and other teamsAnalyze new laws and regulations, draft requirements, and collaborate with various business units and teamsImplement solutions with a “privacy-by-design” approachProvide compliance review during corporate purchase approval process and conduct due diligence on future and current partnersComplete Compliance related projects on an as-need basisAssist in production related to regulatory inquiries or third-party due diligenceMaintain Compliance library of legal requirementsYOU’LL BRING:Law Degree required Significant experience in Privacy or equivalent regulatory/Compliance experience in related fieldsBroad understanding of Privacy law, regulation and best practice, including but not limited to GLBA, CCPA, HIPAA, GDPR, state data breach statutes, etc.CIPP certification preferred but not requiredExperience tracking proposed legislation, using Westlaw and/or other similar toolsExcellent organizational skills, including the ability to track issues from discovery through resolution and validationExperience or ability to collaborate with project managementStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a team environment and a manifestation of strong support for the business goals of the organizationSignificant experience (5+ years) in Privacy or equivalent regulatory/Compliance experience in related fieldsEXTRA QUALIFICATIONS YOU MAY BRING:Prior regulatory experience/interactions (e.g. CFPB, State Regulators, and/or FTC.)Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements (FTC, UDAAP, CCPA, FDCPA, etc.) with a particular focus on PrivacyExperience handling regulatory inquiries, audits and examsPrior work for a regulatory agencyFamiliarity with the state-by-state Lease/Rent-to-Own (RTO) statutory regimeFamiliarity with data science, statistical sampling, and analyzing quantitative metricsWE OFFER:Competitive compensation + bonus eligibilityFull health benefits: medical/dental/vision/life insurance + paid parental leaveCompany matched 401kPaid time off + paid holidays + paid volunteer timeDiversity alliance resource groupsEmployee stock purchase programTuition reimbursementCharitable gift matching Job required equipment & services will be providedProgressive Leasing welcomes and encourages diversity in the workplace.
