The Impact You’ll Be Contributing to Moloco : The Privacy Engineer’s technical expertise allows seamless collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure the product development lifecycle takes a privacy first approach. The Privacy Engineer is a dedicated resource to identify new standards and requirements that directly affect our business and bring awareness to various teams, provide direction on implementation to enhance privacy and ensure compliance. The Privacy Engineer provides assurance that Moloco is adequately prepared to address privacy concerns in an ever-changing industry.
Here’s what you’ll be working on:
The Privacy Engineer is the technical advocate for privacy decisions, designs, and discussions. They facilitate the development and implementation of data protection requirements into Moloco products, services or operations of business units that process personal data. They act as the medium between various business stakeholders, legal and compliance teams. They work closely with software engineers, product developers, designers, cybersecurity teams and others. They effectively work as the translator between these different domains to help build viable solutions while enabling data driven innovation across multiple business lines. The Privacy Engineer is a business enabler and makes data protection a market differentiator and a competitive advantage.
More specifically, the Privacy Engineer will lead the initiative to assess readiness and adaptability to the current privacy changes in our industry:

Job Responsibilities: Focus on implementing privacy-by-design; Ensure privacy requirements are integrated into products, services, and operations throughout the product life cycle
Impart expertise to achieve privacy-by-design by leveraging an appropriate workflow
Play a key role in driving code and architecture reviews as well as large cross-company privacy reviews or products and features
Conduct technical reviews for new features and identify privacy concerns
Work closely with technical and non-technical teams including Engineering, Product and Legal
Provide product teams with guidance and best practices to help protect user’s privacy and mitigate any risk
Work closely with Security and Privacy leaders to help define goals that are properly aligned to company-wide goals
Define and articulate a clear vision for privacy, and influence leaders across all systems to adopt a balanced view of product and privacy goals in overall decision-making
Provide engineering and product teams with the privacy expertise necessary to make confident product decisions
Here is what you need to succeed (Experience & Qualifications) Privacy savvy technologists that can translate policy into practical terms
Expertise in privacy and data protection law while also have extensive knowledge and skills in data science, information security, project management and others
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Math, Physics or related field and 6-10 years’ work experience in the following areas: Software requirements analysis
Software design and development
Software testing and quality assurance
Distributed Services and Cloud Services
Privacy Regulations: GDPR and CCPA
Information Security: identity, vulnerability detection and remediation

Our Compensation And Benefits (for California & New York State Residents Only)
Base Compensation Range: Min $141,111 – Max $211,667
In accordance with California & New York state law, the range provided is a reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. We also offer a competitive benefits package.
