Tesla’s Information Security organization is looking for a highly motivated Cloud Security Technical Program Manager to help maintain Tesla’s high security bar. The Information Security Engineering Program Management team partners closely with engineering teams across Tesla to deliver impactful and scalable security initiatives.The successful candidate will work hand in hand with InfoSec engineers to understand their needs, and design security systems and solutions.You can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. You are proactive in removing roadblocks, pave the way for innovation, and can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be a positive influencer across diverse teams, be able to effectively rally support for your initiatives, and be able to help deeply technical teams create simple solutions to meet your program goals. The TPM must have a data-driven approach to build trust with engineers and senior leaders.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Information Security fundamentals, and ability to gain a technical understanding of the entirety of the program across its lifecycle. This TPM role will report to the Head of Information Security TPM team and will be located in Fremont, CA, Austin, TX, or Bellevue, WA.

Responsibilities:

· Build centralized security controls for multi cloud environments

· Closely partner with engineering teams to design, build and drive solutions that will advance Tesla’s security capabilities including cloud security, container security, SOAR and user behavior analytics

· Partner with infrastructure teams to build and execute roadmaps aligned with security strategy

· Help develop cloud security strategy in collaboration with other security organizations within Tesla.

· Evaluate and drive the creation of prototype for new security tools, develop new security capabilities, incrementally improve maturity of existing security capabilities

· Lead security initiatives, run remediation campaigns, advocate best practices, develop tools and solutions to create paved roads for application teams

· Lead the design and development of tools to automate security controls and security workflows

· Further technology solutions by leading complex software applications with a solid understanding of the infrastructure security domain.

· Advocate for high technical standards, continuously improve software development and delivery

· Own the scope, road map, implementation and tracking of projects from start to finish

· Set goals, track deliverables, manage expectations, identify risk and drive mitigations across all stages of the project

· Drive projects cross functionally, build partnerships with other organizations, and work proactively with business teams to ensure security objectives are met

· Manage executive expectations and owning escalation, communication, and C-level engagement on critical strategic projects for the company

Requirements:

· 5+ years of experience with one or more major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure or GCP)

· Deep understanding of cloud service architecture, security concepts and implementing security controls

· Good understanding of web technologies and various security areas including network, application security, infrastructure hardening, container security, security baselines and cloud misconfiguration

· Technical Program Management/Product management experience in Information Security, Network Security, Risk Management, Cyber Security, or related domains

· Good knowledge of identity federation, authentication, authorization, and access management concepts. Knowledge of SAML, OAuth and OIDC

· Ability to distill complex problems, propose solutions and automate metric collection to measure success

· Experience in developing and driving security initiatives. This includes defining scope, driving consensus on the technical design, building and aligning on roadmaps and proactively identifying and managing risks

· Experience working with Incident Response and Detection teams and environments a plus

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

· Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills to drive projects across multiple programs, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure projects are on task

· Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing requirements quickly

· Ability to build strong, sustainable relationships with diverse internal and external partners at all levels

· Solid foundation and understanding of large-scale infrastructure and software engineering principles. Background in computer science, software engineering, and/or related technical field

· Proficiency in project management tools – MS office suite, Confluence, Jira
