The Prince George's County Government Office of Information Technology is seeking qualified applicants to fill a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) position, grade G-35, within its Director's Office.

About the Position:  

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a senior-level executive within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), responsible for establishing and maintaining the county-wide strategy, policy, standards, and programs to ensure enterprise and agencies’ information assets and technologies are adequately protected from internal and external threats. The incumbent also directs IT security operations and develops risk-based use cases and budgets for IT security programs. The scope of responsibility includes the threat landscape and architecture for the entire technology environment – on-prem., clouds, and hosted external services for applications, data, communications, infrastructure and endpoint, the policies and procedures which apply, and business continuity planning, high availability concepts, and resilient design. Work is performed with wide latitude for independent judgment and action under the general supervision of the CIO (Director of OIT). It is the SME for cyber security and industry regulations, including SOX, ISO 27000 series, GDPR, PII, PCI, etc.
