OIC CAREER OPPORTUNITY
The Office of the Insurance Commissioner’s (OIC) Information Services Unit is seeking a motivated and qualified individual to fill an Information Security Architect role. This position is assigned to the Operations Division, located in our Tumwater office.
This position provides senior level information security architecture, design, guidance and administration to the agency. Primary responsibilities revolve around managing the expansive IT security program, architecting/designing solutions that limit agency risk, secure agency data/users and enable innovation to meet changing business objectives. In addition, it also serves as the sole agency representative for all IT cyber security related committees, workgroups and state-wide projects. This position is responsible for leading our response to active threats, security incidents, potential data loss, exfiltration or breach situations and reporting/coordinating with state and federal authorities. It is also responsible for our cyber security outreach program to develop and teach end users and management the importance of security mindfulness and preparedness.
