Serves as the principal civilian legal advisor to the Commander, 902d Military Intelligence (MI) Group, the 902d MI Group Staff and all 902d subordinate commands.
Provides expert legal advice on the full range of CI, Human Intelligence (HUMINT) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and operational concepts and operational activities.
Reviews and process command administrative investigations, civilian and military personnel actions, assist the command in the preparation of Congressional reporting requirements concerning command issues.
Plans, directs, and evaluates in coordination with the Command Judge Advocate and INSCOM Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, the operations of the office to achieve optimum work flow/production within all allowable fiscal and staffing levels.
Performs full range of personnel management responsibility to include technical and administrative supervision.

Ability to analyze and problem-solve a wide variety of legal issues related to Intelligence and National Security Law. Knowledge of Federal laws, Executive Orders and DoD, DA, DIA, and CIA regulations and procedures concerning the conduct of intelligence activities to include, but not limited to, CI, SIGINT and HUMINT. 2. Knowledge of Federal and/or Department of the Army Administrative Law to include statues, regulations, and case law related to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), Administrative Investigations, Ethics, Standards of Conduct, Executive Orders and Regulations. Ability to analyze and problem solve a wide variety of general administrative and civil matters, including civilian personnel law. 3. Ability to manage and supervise personnel, and foster a creative and an innovative work environment. Ability to advise and counsel senior leaders and higher grade management officials. 4. Expert knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and their DoD and DA supplements,bid protests, contract disputes, secure environment contracting procedures, intelligence contingency fund expenditures, and fiscal law. 5. Skill in oral and written communications to effectively defend controversial positions;present briefings at the highest echelons both within and outside DoD. BAR MEMBERSHIP: Applicant must currently be a member in good standing of the bar of a state, territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have 3 or more years of professional legal experience, acquired after being admitted to the bar, commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position. Graduation from an ABA-Accredited Law School in the top 25% of the class or an advanced law degree such as an LLM may substitute for one year of the required professional legal experience.
